Dr. Anna Lee is a Professor of Psychology at North Carolina A&T State University. Her work examines the impact of structural inequities (i.e., racism, sexism, discrimination and stigma) on health and education outcomes among people of color. She is co-director of the Collective Health and Education Equity Research (CHEER) Lab. Recent projects include examining psychosocial determinants of health, masculinity, racism and health outcomes, specifically obesity and diabetes within Black American populations. Her work has been funded by the North Carolina Diabetes Research Center, the Vanderbilt Diabetes Research Center, and the Minority Male Health Initiative.
