Ashley Taeckens-Seabaugh, MSW, is a gerontological social work researcher and Research Fellow of the University of Denver's Institute for Human-Animal Connection (IHAC). With an applied background in gerontology and nearly a decade of academic research experience, Ashley currently leads two and supports up to six of IHAC's projects across four portfolios that encompass the lifespan. She earned dual bachelor of science degrees in psychology and gerontology before earning an MSW with a concentration in Aging Services & Policy and has also earned numerous honors awards as they relate to her academic excellence. Ashley is passionate about conducting social science research that can improve the lives of older adults with a particular interest in social determinants of health, social justice, and intervention research that can influence individual behavior.
