Dr. Bender is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University (MSU). He is a Co-Investigator on the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Research Center's (MADRC) Neuroimaging Core and serves as a member of the MSU Alzheimer's Alliance. Dr. Bender completed his Ph.D. in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience and graduate training in Gerontology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Before joining MSU, Drew spent three years as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin. His research integrates advanced methods for neuroimaging and statistics to identify MRI neuroimaging correlates of cognitive aging in healthy lifespan, population-based, and clinical aging cohort data.
