Dr. Mroz (she/ her) completed her PhD in Psychology and Gerontology at the University of Florida in 2021. During her graduate training, she also served as a Quality Improvement Manager and affiliated researcher with the Department of Neurology, College of Medicine. She is currently a T32 Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Internal Medicine, Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Mroz's research investigates strategies for supporting individuals through caregiving, loss, and end-of-life. Much of her work investigates ways that self-narratives influence behaviors, care values, and health and wellbeing outcomes in late life and following serious illness onset. Dr. Mroz is also interested in improving delivery of palliative care through development of communication training and tools for patients, providers, and informal caregivers. She has partnered with clinicians and quality improvement specialists to test novel interventions and refine best practices in palliative care settings.
