Xiang Qi is a fourth-year PhD candidate at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. He earned his bachelor’s degree with honor from the School of Nursing at Fudan University, Shanghai in 2019. Xiang’s research interests are psychosocial determinants of healthy aging and longevity, public health dentistry, and immigrant health. Xiang’s dissertation focused on examining underlying pathways for the association between social isolation, loneliness, and accelerated aging using large datasets. He aspires to prevent ADRD and promote dementia care by modifying the physical and social environments of older adults and developing psycho-behavior health interventions.
