​James Iveniuk is a senior research scientist in the Academic Research Centers at the University of Chicago.
He specializes in social relationships and health over the life course, especially in older adulthood. His primarily affiliation is with the National Social Life Health and Aging Project (NSHAP), a nationally-representative, longitudinal probability sample of older adults.
Prior to joining NORC, James Iveniuk worked at the Wellesley Institute for four years - a health equity research center in the Greater Toronto Area. He also worked with the Ontario Center for Workforce Innovation helping community-based organizations and agencies craft research design, and Software Carpentry, a company for the teaching of programming and quantitative methods. Previous to this, he worked at the University of Toronto as a post-doctoral researcher, focused on social networks and HIV.
