Dr. Emily Smail is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics at the University of Florida. Her research interests include the assessment of mental distress and behavioral modifications in response to a changing environment (e.g., COVID-19), prevention of adverse aging phenotypes, and evaluation of ecological mobility and mobility decline in older adults. Dr. Smail holds a PhD in Public Mental Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a dual BS degree in Genetics and Psychology from Clemson University.
