Irina Mindlis, MPH, MA, is a doctoral candidate in the Health Psychology and Clinical Science
PhD program at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a predoctoral research fellow at
the Coping and Health in Context Lab at Hunter College. She received her BSc in Psychology from the
University of Palermo (Argentina), and her MPH from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
(Epidemiology Track). Her primary research interests involve the psychosocial adjustment to illness
among older adults, especially in the context of multimorbidity. She is especially interested in how the
compounding of difficulties that comes with multimorbidity and aging affects ethnically diverse
populations. Her research has been funded by Psi Chi and the American Psychological Association and
published in medical and psychological peer-reviewed journals.
