Dr. Das is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine Division of Hematology/Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC). His research interests are in the realm of gastrointestinal (GI) cancer, with a focus on neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), and drug development. They specifically focus upon designing early phase studies to take advantage of salvage DNA repair pathway dependence in DNA damage response (DDR) deficient tumors and to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment in refractory tumors through immunotherapy combinations. He is the national principal investigator of several DDR focused studies in gastric and gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma, neuroendocrine tumors, extra-pulmonary small cell carcinoma and pancreatic adenocarcinoma and leads multiple other studies in NETs. He is the lead of NET program at VICC and is the medical oncology lead for the peptide receptor radionuclide therapy program.
