Connect 2 First Internet at First Electric Cooperative Corporation
Randy Everett is the Chief Information Officer for First Electric Cooperative Corporation and General Manager for Connect2First Internet LLC.
Randy is a 1995 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a B.S. in Geography. His career began in Salem, AR in 1996 at North Arkansas Electric Cooperative and in 2005 was hired by First Electric Cooperative in Jacksonville, AR.
During his time as GIS Manager, Randy served 9 years on the Arkansas Geographic Information Systems Board being appointed in 2007 by Governor Mike Beebe and then again in 2012. While on the board, Randy served as Vice Chair and was an integral part of defining guidelines and legislation for projects such as the Arkansas Centerline Files, Arkansas Parcel Polygons, Arkansas Aerial Imagery, and streamlining the process of city annexations through the Arkansas Geographic Information Office. During this time, he also was selected to serve on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Power Quality and Reliability Committee.
In 2017 Randy was selected as the Vice President of Corporate Services of First Electric Cooperative Corp. His team managed all cooperative communications, hardware, software, automated metering infrastructure, and all components of physical and cyber security.
In 2020 Randy was promoted to Chief Information Officer and at the same time was named as the first General Manager of Connect2First Internet, LLC (C2F). C2F is a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of First Electric Cooperative Corp. that is making fiber internet and phone services available to all FECC members. First Electric Cooperative serves over 97,000 meters and covers all or parts of 17 counties in central and southeast Arkansas. First Electric Cooperative has over 200,000 poles and roughly 10,000 miles of electric line. C2F is connecting approximately 30 internet customers per day and constructing 1 million feet of fiber each month.
