In 2018, Radha Sekar was appointed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman as Chief Executive Officer of the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC). She oversees the successful delivery of multi-billion dollar telecommunication programs that closes the digital divides for unserved and underserved in the entire United States. The programs include the FCC’s Universal Service Fund programs and Congressional Response programs.
Radha Sekar has more than 25 years of experience in public and private sector business management, consulting, systems implementation, strategic planning, change management, and leadership development. She has developed a stellar reputation for both launching and leading complex programs to accomplish organizational goals and mitigate risks.
Her public sector experiences include: an ongoing tenure as Chief Executive Officer for USAC and more than 12 years of Senior Executive Service in the federal government. The positions she has held in federal space include CFO of the Farm Service Agency at the USDA’s Commodity Credit Corporation; CFO and CMO of DHS-ICE; Director of DoD’s Business Integration and Audit Readiness unit, and the Director of Financial Management and Transformation at DoD.
Her commercial experiences include more than fifteen years of leadership positions in Fortune 100 information technology corporations and Big 4 consulting firms. The positions she held include defense industry executive for IBM; Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers; Senior Manager at Coopers and Lybrand; and a Systems Manager at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Her professional trajectory in the private sector was steep as depicted in her background.
