John W. Fluharty, II is currently Vice President of Tasmac Solutions, Inc., a consulting firm focusing on business solutions for the construction industry providing market studies, regulatory reviews, business improvement reviews and recommendations. Mr. Fluharty has worked for 28 years in the field of HDD, pipeline integrity, electric, braodband, and corrosion control. He has managed every division and performed every aspect of the business over the course of his career. He was instrumental in developing and implementing project management and its practices to Mears Group, Inc. and has experience at applying new technology and new ways of looking at business decision making, procurement and overall effectiveness.
Mr. Fluharty has conducted market evaluations of: distribution integrity management plan regulations; proposed rule making in response to the San Bruno incident; transmission integrity plan ruling; and, shale oil and gas impacts. Prior to that Mr. Fluharty served as Senior Vice President, providing 28 years of
service to Mears Group, Inc., a highly respected international engineering and construction company that serves the pipeline and energy industries. Mr. Fluharty is currently involved in the largest and longest HVDC underground cable project to be constructed in the United States.
