Shifting from urban/suburban areas to rural puts entire strategies and tactics under a new light. Lower densities, uncertain take rates, consumer affordability and other considerations increase the risk of rural business cases. Our panelists of operators will share their experiences in how they rethought their plans to successfully bring fiber to the rural. New and different approaches were considered spanning architecture, design guidelines, product selection, workforce training and more. Each of our panelists had different challenges to overcome to bring their networks to light. From business case expectations to operational implementation, attendees will glean insights they can apply to their own network decisions. Topics include: remote PON cabinets, distributed split architectures, preconnectorized solutions.
