For traditional Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) cable operators, the thought of making a change to Fiber to the Home can be daunting. This can be due to the fear of large financial burdens when committing to change, or even fear of unfamiliar technology. The fact is fiber is coming for everyone sooner or later. This session will cover a range of topics an HFC broadband provider needs to consider in order to understand when and how to make the move to fiber. However, this transition is not immediate. An essential piece of the puzzle is how to offer competitive services today to keep current subscribers happy on the existing infrastructure during the transition.
