This interactive session will provide information about the U.S. Fire Administration’s (USFA) current research efforts to support the fire service and fire safety with a goal of reducing firefighter on-duty deaths and injuries as well enhancing the effectiveness of the fire and emergency service community. This presentation will discuss the new and past USFA partnerships with the IAFC and other partners including the study of emergent issues in emergency vehicle and roadway operations safety, the update of America Burning, an EMS needs assessment, the EMS Medical Directors education program and its current update, the National Safety Culture Change Initiative for the Fire Service project, as well as other studies.
