Winter Storm Uri was the worst winter storm to hit south Texas in 100 years. The San Antonio Fire Department faced complex challenges as the event developed over several days. This session will discuss the cascading problems that emerged during the event and the innovative solutions implemented during this storm. We will also provide an overview of the department’s Clinical Dispatcher Program, that was bolstered during this event to manage the drastic increase in call volume.
