This program will dive into the both personal and organizational MAYDAY scenarios. While we will discuss options that can impact the outcomes on fire incidents, we will also discuss scenarios that can change the trajectory of individual growth paths, and affect the culture of organizations. We will challenge attendees to take a critical look at themselves, their lifestyles their crew members, and their organizations in general.
Attendees should walk away with a better understanding of the challenges to personal and organizational success, as affected through positively managing their individual and collective physical strength, moral focus, and mental toughness.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will gain a broader understanding of the root causes found in many MAYDAY scenarios, and will develop ideas, strategies, and plans to be in a position to rescue themselves (functionally and metaphorichally) from those situations.
Participants will understand the concepts of the personal tetrahedron, bringing together Moral focus, Physical strength, and Mental toughness to be in a position to better fulfill the mission of service.
Participants will learn from each others experiences and develop better coping strategies and skills.
