Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Electric vehicles (EV) are rapidly populating our communities and the fire service must be prepared to safely respond to events involving any ESS product. In this session Tesla Fire Response and Tesla engineers will provided the knowledge and tools to prepare your team to respond to Lith-Ion Battery emergencies and other electrical storage systems safely. We will look at some of the recent safety components Tesla builds into their products. Attendees will come away with a better understanding of ESS and how to respond to incidents. Learning Objectives:
The participant will understand the eveloving technology of energy storage and how it impacts fire fighter operations.
The participant will be provided with operational guidelines on best methods to extinguish a Tesla vehicle fire.
The participant will have a better understanding of how to safely respond to these incidents
