Session Description: Your baby boomer clients are aging. The “Solo Ager” (older adult with no family support) is not new, but the numbers have doubled with the boomers. Solo Agers do not have the safety net of younger family members watching out for their best interests. How can you help them plan for a safe and secure future? Where should they live? What can they do NOW to prepare for a less able time? Taking part in this interactive session will raise your awareness of this growing segment of your practice and help you help them prepare for the future.
Learning Objectives:
Recognize the Solo Agers in their practice.
Understand what matters to Solo Agers and apply it to their template for client discussions.
Create unique planning goals for their Solo Ager clients that include legal preparation, housing, care, and maintenance of their social network.
