David B. Beck is an assistant professor in the Center for Human Genetics and Genomics, and the Department of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine. David recieved his PhD in Biochemistry at NYU, as part of an MD/PhD program, and went on to recieve clinical training in Internal Medicine at Columbia and Clinical Genetics at the National Institutes of Health. David did his postdoctoral research with Dr. Dan Kastner at the National Insitutes of Health studying autoinflammatory diseases. David now runs a clinic and laboratory focused on identiying additional genetic causes of inflammation, characterizing these diseases in the laboratory, and attempting to use this information to inform treatments.
