Description: During the last decade, research in Immunology has substantially developed in several Latin-American countries. Novel and top-quality studies centered on host-pathogen interaction, vaccine development, cancer immunology, and autoimmunity have been developed in the region. However, Latin-American Immunologists have to struggle with a number of problems, including small and relatively isolated scientific communities. The aim of this symposium is to display a sample of outstanding Immunology research performed in Mexico, Chile, and Argentina, in order for researchers from Latin-America and other areas of the world to recognize the research performed in the region, to promote interaction and collaboration.
