Welcome Register Now

Traumatic injury in the geriatric patient has become increasingly familiar. Most importantly, injury in that population is associated with higher mortality and complications compared to the same injury in younger patients. In a rapidly aging population where 1 in 5 Americans is projected to be older than 65 by 2030, it is imperative that healthcare workers understand the nuances of that group and how to incorporate cutting edge technology and best practice into the care of those over 65 and injured.

This full-day trauma symposium will feature in-depth multidisciplinary expert lectures, panel discussions, case presentations, and demonstrations on preventive care.  Our world renowned keynote speaker from the famous Shock Trauma Center in Maryland, will be Dr. Thomas Scalea.

This event is intended for the trauma and acute care surgeon, general surgeons, ED providers, advanced practice providers, nurses, emergency medical services personnel, allied health professionals, and all those interested in trauma care of the geriatric population.
