Sam has spent the past 16 years as an emergency/critical care nurse. With 4 years as a trauma critical care nurse with the US Army. The past 12 years have been spent as a critical care transport and flight nurse working in direct support of major academic medical centers in the national capital region. Sam has always had a passion for education and was a founding member of a non-profit with the mission of offering low or no-cost education to the air medical community. Beginning early on in Sam’s career he has served in both formal and informal education roles in units and programs he has worked with. Sam is also recognized as a subject matter expert in both airway management and mechanical ventilation with invitations to present both regionally and nationally on the subject.
