Alexis Kirkland is Veterinary Technician of 6 years with a background in Emergency Medical care, holding a nationally registered license for over 12 years, working in a wide array of fields to include emergency, surgical and general practice. She is a Noncommissioned Officer in the United States Air Force Reserve with 13 years of accumulated service and a multitude of Joint Operation exercises to include direct deployment in support of Operation Freedoms’ Sentinel, in which she was held accountable for patient care and medical transportation residing over both U.S, Coalition and K9 patients. She is a trainer for newly gained veterinary technicians, teaching surgical and emergency care along with providing medical treatment/knowledge for two K9 units. She has recently gained a joy and affinity for instructing, currently holds a position with the joint support Tactical Combat Casualty Care program located at MacDill AFB Fl, where she resides as the lead K9 Trauma instructor.
