Michael Abesada is a Critical Care Paramedic / Firefighter for Tampa Fire Rescue, City of Tampa, Florida. He is a Senior Enlisted Leader in the United States Air Force Reserves with the rank of Master Sergeant with over 20 years served and one deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
While on several active orders serving in the Military, Michael has been a significant contributor to (Ret) General Joseph L. Votel Killed In Action (KIA) Reduction Initiative (6 Nov 2017) focusing on the trauma care provided on casualties from point of injury. Following the studies provided by the Armed Forces Medical Examiner Systems and the Joint Trauma System deaths on the battlefield are potentially preventable. Implementing/Instructing over 1000 Tactical Combat Casualty Care courses for Humans at MacDill AFB, Fl, additional US Military Instillations, before Service Members deployments and local Public Safety agencies. Michael has also implemented Prehospital K9 medical training for medical health care personnel and non-medical personnel.
