Dave has been involved in prehospital care since 1976. As one of the pioneers of EMS he has help shape the evolution of the field. Always interested in the physical and mental impact of prehospital care he was instrumental in developing mental health resources for the City of Austin EMS Department. Since moving to PHI he has championed the creation of the PHI CIRT Team (now PEER Support Team) and is an original member. In his new role as Manager Peer Support/Wellness he oversees a team of 35 and coordinates interactions throughout PHI. In addition he maintains an active travel schedule education PHI personnel on stress related issues and wellness.
