Chase Niewoehner BSN, RN, CFRN, CCRN-CMC, CES-A is a Registered Nurse with 9 years of critical care and flight nursing experience. Chase began his career in cardiac and intensive care units before transitioning into flight nursing. During his time in the ICU he developed a passion for cardiac assist devices and mechanical circulatory support. Chase is a Certified Adult ECMO Specialist (CES-A) and enjoys teaching with the goal of improving comfortability and knowledge for flight clinicians transporting patients on ECMO support. Chase currently works at ARCH Air Medical, an Air Methods community based program, in Granite City, IL. ARCH 1 is a high-volume base that frequently transports patients on cardiac assist devices and performs ECMO transports for the region.
