Kolby Kolbet is the Chief Clinical Officer at Life Link III in Bloomington, MN and serves as the Interim President & CEO of AAMS. Kolby has been a registered nurse since 2002 and cared for patients in a variety of settings including the Trauma and Emergency Center, Specialty Care Ground Transport, and the Pediatric and Neonatal ICU. Kolby as served as the Chief Flight Nurse and Nurse Educator at Gundersen Lutheran MedLink AIR in La Crosse, WI. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Allen College in Waterloo, IA and obtained his Master’s of Science in Nursing Education from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. Kolby is a Certified Medical Transport Executive (CMTE), Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Kolby is currently the chair-elect for the Association of Air Medical Services, serves on the board of regents for the Medical Transport Leadership Institute (MTLI) and is an active member of the Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association (ASTNA). Kolby is also a Maxwell Leadership Certified Speaker, Trainer, and Coach. Prior to becoming a nurse, Kolby served as a volunteer first responder, EMT and paramedic.
