Melissa Verseman is a Respiratory Therapist and Flight Paramedic that has been involved in EMS since 1998. She has worked in the 911 and critical care settings with an emphasis on Pediatric/Neonatal and Transport medicine. Educating her peers and challenging other EMS providers to elevate their knowledge and care for complex respiratory patients is her passion.
Melissa attended Pima Medical Institute in 2002 and graduated in 2004 with an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy. In 2010 she attended St Anthony’s Paramedic program in conjunction with Red Rocks Community College. She obtained her Certified Flight Paramedic in 2014 when she was hired with North Colorado Medevac. Melissa is currently employed with Medevac and recently worked on the Children’s One transport team.
In addition to flying as a Paramedic and Respiratory Therapist Melissa started an education company called Beyond the BVM. Beyond the BVM is aimed at educating pre-hospital providers in the use of mechanical ventilators and care of complex respiratory patients.
