Event Description: This year's Diversity Luncheon features the inaugural cohort of the ESA Excellence in Ecology (EEE) Scholars.

• Dr. Na’Taki Osborne Jelks – Asst. Professor, Department of Environmental and Health Sciences, Spelman College;


• Dr. Theresa Wei Ying Ong – Asst. Professor, Department of Environmental Studies and Ecology, Evolution, Environment and Society, Dartmouth College;


• Dr. Adriana Lucia Romero-Olivares – Asst. Professor, Department of Biology, New Mexico State University;


• Dr. Erika S. Zavaleta – Professor, Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, University of California – Santa Cruz.

They will share their ideas about reaching new audiences and how their research came about. What is their research story? What was the thought process in their research design? How did their research developed?

We will also celebrate the achievements of the 2021-2022 SEEDS Partnerships for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) Fellows and the 2022 ESA Human Diversity Award winner.
