Fort Belknap Indian Community (FBIC) is home to the Aaniiih and Nakoda Tribes. Located in northern Montana, FBIC faces significant present and future challenges from climate change. This presentation looks at the process of cultivating resilience through the development of the Tribal Climate Change Adaptation Plan and the Little Rockies Forest Resilience Project. Tribal programs have pulled together to uphold and support the human and ecological communities at FBIC, developing ways to restore sites that are vulnerable. Our Climate Change Adaptation Plan was developed to incorporate good manageable ways we can ensure our ways of life to not diminish.
