Research Assistant
Ohio University - Athens, OH
I am graduate student in Environmental Studies at Ohio University whose research is focused on the direct comparison of soil organic carbon, photosynthetic rates, and carbon and nitrogen concentrations in leaf tissues of Miscanthus x giganteus plots over a period of ten years compared to a seven-year sequence of carbon concentration of plant tissues as well as the comparison of a perennial grass to the native forest. I graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. My undergraduate research evaluated edge effects on liana communities and their relationships with trees and soil properties in a moist semi-deciduous forest in Ghana.
I am aesearch assistant who is passionate about advancing knowledge in Carbon sequestration, biofuel crops, forest ecology, biogeochemistry: C and N cycling, physiological ecology of plants through high-quality research. I am a self-motivated professional with excellent communication, planning and problem-solving abilities and adept at prepping resources, equipment, and materials for research.
