Hello everyone!. My name is Stephanie Gonzalez; I am a second year master student at California State University, Long Beach and a member of the Quantitative Ecology Lab with Dr. Raisa Hernandez-Pacheco. We study population demogrpahy of the Cayo Santiago rhesus macaques -- a free ranging non-human primate population residing on a small island off the coast of Puerto Rico. This research field station was established in 1938, and individual profiles have been collected for the population beginning in 1956 making it the world's largest longitidunal demographic dataset colllected for a non-human primate. My research primarily focuses on early life adversities effects on lifespan, the effects timing of an adverse exposure has on lifespan, and whether or not such effects are intergenerational. Please feel free to physically visit my poster on Monday or reach out to me via email!
