My name is Diego Enrique Otero, I am a Senior studying Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus. Since my freshman year I formed part Dra. Elvira Cuevas' the research team where we study The Processes and Functions of Tropical Terrestrial Ecosystems. Here I developed my personal project studying the Influence of Water Quality in the Aquatic Macro-Invertebrate Communities’ Distribution in an Urban Coastal Wetland – Ciénaga Las Cucharillas. I am also an Cross Country and Track & Field athlete for the university with specialty in the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters.
