Gwen has 20+ years of experience in indigenous relations and advancing indigenous authority over traditional territories, working in partnership with all levels of government, environmental organizations, and the private sector. Gwen, a member of the Saddle Lake Cree Nation in Alberta, supports indigenous people in natural resource management and conservation initiatives.

Gwen supports municipal and provincial governments, non-profits, universities, and the corporate sector on indigenous relations and engagement management, including implementation of Climate Change Adaptation Strategies, training on indigenous perspectives and advancing carbon financing discussions with the Province of BC. Gwen has a Master of Science in Renewable Resources from the University of Alberta, in Alberta, Canada.
