Description: Attendees of this session will be presented with teaching strategies drawn from recent developments in cognitive psychology and memory theory. These evidence-based strategies are more effective than some of outdated, widely used methods that do not actually enhance learning. Some specific examples will include: better use of skills practice, harnessing the power of metacognition, and using failure as a powerful tool for learning.
