Description: In this 60 minute presentation we will discuss the factors that contribute to EMS turnover and offer solutions to EMS organizations. The EMS Professional Recruitment and Retention Ferris Wheel will be used as part of the presentation. In this learning session we will explore the importance of retention and illustrate how retention drives recruitment. The limiting factors such as funding and resources will be discussed and alternative solutions will be offered. Retention tactics will be presented based on EMS research and real EMS provider interviews.
