Edward Oliphant, BA, NRP, is an EMS educator and researcher from Los Angeles, California.
Edward began his career as a Firefighter/Paramedic in the Santa Fe Fire Department. He then became an EMS Educator at Santa Fe Community College. He is now Program Faculty at the Paramedic Education Program in the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care.
He has been published in EMS World Magazine and his research earned Best Poster at the 2018 Annual Conference of the National Association of EMS Educators.
Edward is motivated by a desire to provide a meaningful response to the suffering of others. Through teaching, research and public speaking, he hopes to empower the next generation of practitioners to provide excellent, evidence-based, and empathetic care.
