Sean Keenan, MD, COL (ret.), US Army, is an emergency/emergency medical services physician who serves as the Assistant Director, Center for COMBAT Research and Associate Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine, CU Anschutz, Aurora, CO, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Military and Emergency Medicine, USU, Bethesda, MD. He is a prehospital consultant to the Joint Trauma System, Defense Health Agency, San Antonio, TX. He was the original Coordinator of the Prolonged Field Care Working Group which defined the specific operational medical problem, and directly led to over 10 peer-reviewed Clinical Practice Guidelines, defense health policy and multiple major medical research initiatives. He also serves as the Military Vice President of the Special Operations Medical Association.
