Clinical Supervisor
HMH JFK EMS
Freehold, New Jersey
My name is Peter DeNicola, I became an EMT at 16 while volunteering for my local first aid squad. During my time as a volunteer, I fell in love with EMS and decided I was going to peruse a career as a paramedic. Since then, I became a preceptor and FTO, before taking my current role as Clincial Supervisor for JFK EMS.
As EMS providers, are great at responding to immediate emergencies, but we don't do a good job caring for ourselves. This program helps to encourage professionals to look at how they respond to death in both personal and professional ways. Its our goal as instructors to give responders tools they need to successfully respond to these sensitive situations, but also give them the tools needed to seek help.
