Dr Mehta is a NeuroInterventional Surgeon at the Memorial Neuroscience Institute and Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Program. He completed Harvard Medical School residency and fellowships in Neurology, Stroke/Neurocritical Care and Endovascular Neurosurgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Dr Mehta specializes in the treatment of acute strokes, brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations in adult and pediatric patients.
Dr Mehta’s clinical and research interests are focused on building efficient stroke system of care. He is a founding member of the tri-county South Florida EMS Stroke Coalition to help optimize stroke care across hospitals in the region. Through his collaboration with national EMS leaders, his vision is to improve pre-hospital evaluation and triage of stroke patients using evidence-based guidelines and data transparency.
