N. Clay Mann, PhD, MS, MBA, is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Mann currently serves as the Principal Investigator for the National EMS Information System. Additionally, he has authored peer-reviewed research related to traumatic injuries to children, trauma system evaluation, cardiac/trauma resuscitation and the role of emergency medical services in health care. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas in Preventive Medicine and two Master’s Degrees from the University of Utah focused on Statistics/Epidemiology and Business Administration.
Dr. Mann has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on 70+ federal, state, foundation or industry grants. He has conducted several randomized, controlled community trials dealing with cardiac resuscitation, acute coronary disease education and paramedic training.
