Jessica Grittner is a PhD student in the Rehabilitation Sciences Graduate Program at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Her research focuses on neuroplasticity in the respiratory system, highlighting the relationships between respiratory and swallowing neurophysiology. Current work has explored sex and age difference and the role of sex hormones in respiratory neuroplasticity. Jessica received her MS in medical speech language pathology from the University of Washington, Seattle, and her BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Jessica has worked in research and clinical roles for children with disabilities for almost two decades. She is a clinical specialist in pediatric dysphagia and has served as adjunct faculty in dysphagia as well as a local, state, and national speaker.
