Lloyd is a final year PhD Candidate in the Department of Pharmacy at the National University of Singapore. His doctoral research focuses on the pharmacokinetic and toxicological consequences of cytochrome P450-mediated bioactivation of xenobiotics and prospective chemical strategies to mitigate these metabolic liabilities. A pharmacist by training, Lloyd aspires to weave his clinical knowledge together with his passion in pharmacological research to advance scientific knowledge and contribute to drug discovery and development endeavors in academia and the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. Apart from his academic interests, he also enjoys meaningful conversations over a warm beverage (preferably coffee), reading (and sometimes writing) poignant confessional poetry and utilizing photography to give a new perspective to the banal.
