Introduction: This talk will highlight some broad benefits of building an entrepreneurial mindset during early scientific training years to personal and professional development. Specifically, applications of an entrepreneurial approach to thinking, reasoning, and innovation will be discussed in the contexts of self-branding, fund raising, and alternative careers. Tried-and-tested tips on how to hone ones entrepreneurial skills during early training years will be reviewed.
