Introduction: As professional roles within healthcare have become more specialized, stratified, and interconnected, there is an increasing need for faculty to develop a skillset for teaching students who are pursuing degrees and career paths different from the instructors themselves (e.g., PhDs teaching RNs, MDs teaching PharmDs, etc.). This presentation will focus on approaches to handle some of the unique challenges associated with teaching health science students in different disciplines than your own, how best to leverage your expertise, and mechanisms for increasing student interest in, and curricular relevance of, your class lectures and graded assignments.
