Introduction: The Career Opportunities Committee presents the 2022 Mentoring Symposium. This three-part symposium will focus on Navigating and Overcoming Career Obstacles. The goal is to provide instruction and advice on how to navigate interpersonal situations and develop leadership skills, both as a mentor and mentee. Part 1 of this symposium will cover Academic Ethics and Communication. Dr. Barrett is a Distinguished Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Diego. Dr. OConnor is a Professor of Physiology at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Our speakers will share their expertise on experiences regarding academic ethics and conflict communication, how to respond in these situations, and strategies to ensure proper ethics.
