Megan Lavoie is an attending physician and the Director for Education in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She received a bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology from Vassar College.
She received her M.D. from the Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed residency training in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Dr. Lavoie completed fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of WIsconsin, thereafter joining the CHOP faculty as a member of the Emergency Department attending staff.
Her scholarship interests include innovative curricular design, assessment of procedural and clinical competence, the use of simulation as an assessment of quality of care as well as a novel educational modallity.
