Jill Posner MD, MSCE, MSEd is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) physician specializing in the care of acutely ill and injured children. Dr. Posner is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and she serves as an attending physician in the Emergency Department at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia and then graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University - Medical College of Virginia. She completed a pediatric residency and PEM subspecialty fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has earned a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE) and a Master of Science in Medical Education (MSEd) degrees. In addition to providing emergency care for patients, Jill’s passions lie in medical education. She serves as the Faculty Medical Director for Continuing Medical Education at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Co-Director of CHOP Committee on Interprofessional Education. She enjoys educating learners of all levels and in all venues: in the clinical care areas, in small groups and in didactic settings. Dr. Posner has authored a number of research articles, review articles and book chapters on a variety of emergency medicine topics. She is the Co-Editor of the next edition of Fleisher and Ludwig's Textbook of Emergency Medicine. She serves as a peer reviewer for journals including Pediatrics, Pediatric Emergency Care, and Annals of Emergency Medicine.
