I am a Medical Simulation Fellow at Indiana University and Pediatric Emergency Medicine faculty at Riley Hospital for children. I completed my Pediatrics residency at Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital and Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at New York University / Bellevue Hospital. I am also currently obtaining a Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE) through Maastricht University.
I have a strong passion in medical education, particularly simulation-based medical education, and have also done work in virtual reality-based medical education using 360-degree video. Dr. Janice Shin-Kim and I have conducted multiple virtual workshops regionally and internationally in 2020-2021 about using 360-degree video to create immersive virtual experiences.
I have made multiple VR experiences using 360-degree video to teach residents about pediatric trauma, transgender patient care, and emergent pediatric ECMO activation.
I am also heavily involved in IPSS (international Pediatric Simulation Society) and served on the Meeting Organizing Committee for the 2021 and 2022 conferences. I am also the Social Media Director and Co-leader of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion / Dissemination and Outreach working group of the Women in PEM sub-committee of AAP SOEM.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
